Darren is a first-year Software Development student at SETU Carlow. While clearing out his Leaving Cert notes (and realising he still had next to no Irish), he started building Píosa Beag, an Irish language learning app built with SwiftUI. In just a few weeks, it’s grown a waitlist of over 5,000 users. Darren is also a video editor, musician, and active volunteer, serving on the youth board of Barretstown and organising regular fundraisers for BUMBLEance.
